NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, located just 15 minutes from NYC, is an acute care teaching hospital academically affiliated with Weill-Cornell Medical College. Dedicated to providing high quality patient care to a diverse community, Lincoln Medical Center is a NYS designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers.
Responsibilities:
Lincoln Hospital is seeking a full time Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join our team. The hospital is a Level 3 NICU community hospital performing 1900 deliveries per year that is part of the Health and Hospitals Regional Perinatal Center. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology maintains a Perinatal Evaluation Center and High Risk Clinic adjacent to labor and delivery with a geneticist and 4 dedicated ultrasound techs supporting the 2 full time MFM positions. Our department has 18 generalists who perform all labor and delivery coverage and specialists representing all subspecialties. We maintain an academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College, and faculty appointments are available to those who meet the criteria.
The position is a 40 hour per week Monday through Friday, salaried with benefits.
Duties include:
- Inpatient Care of antepartum patients and consultations
- Outpatient high risk clinics
- Interpretation of obstetrical ultrasounds
- Antenatal testing and outpatient consultations
- Research, education and supervision of residents
- Divide 24-hour phone call coverage with another MFM provider. No in-house call unless desired for additional sessional salary
- Potential to assume title of Director of Labor and Delivery with responsibility for safety huddles
- Overseeing scheduling and management of patients of the Perinatal Unit.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Expertise in care of diabetic patients
- Research productivity to contribute to residency experience
Required:
- Board eligible or certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine with experience in ultrasonography in high risk patients and active in clinical practice.
