Allegheny Health Network, a patient-centered integrated health system, is seeking an Associate Maternal Fetal Medicine Program Director to join their expanding team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Allegheny Health Network has been ranked in the top 25% of hospitals nationally for medical excellence in overall medical care. Located in the Bloomfield neighborhood, also known as Pittsburgh’s Little Italy, West Penn Hospital embodies the best of an independent academic medical center while hosting care in all aspects of MFM & OBGYN. The department of MFM fosters quality and safe care for the women of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas of Western PA and Eastern WV. We perform over 4,000 deliveries a year in our hospital facility.
The person selected for this position will have system obligations to help develop best practices for practitioners to serve women in MFM and obgyn medicine for all eight hospitals while having an ongoing presence and main position at West Penn Hospital. We envision this opportunity to be a major part of the OBGYN Residency program too. There's also an opportunity to help develop a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine and research.
Our MFM physicians provide the full scope of consultation services and comprehensive management of high risk pregnancies. Comprehensive management includes the preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures necessary for the total care of both mother and baby. Our MFM Physicians work in collaboration with Certified Ultrasound Technologist, Genetic Counselors, and Specialty Physicians to orchestrate the care necessary for their patients.
