Join well-established, Private Hospitalist Group in bedroom community on the East side of Atlanta .The group has autonomy as well as a long-term contract with the150-bed hospital, which is located 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta. Very close, very democratic group with no micromanagement from hospital administration
Hospitalist: Position Details:
7 on, 7 off almost exclusively days, with only 1 night call every 4 weeks (during an off week)
Days: 7am-5pm, can leave early if all work is done
15 shifts per month
Census: varies from 15 – 30 patients Surgical floor/ICU (divided by 2 Hospitalists)
No procedures unless you desire to do them
Base: $200,000 (could be higher DOE) + RVU production
Two Hospitalists work day shift, and split up ER admits. For example, ER admits from 7:00 a.m. – noon, with rounding on Surgical floor and ICU from noon- 5:00 p.m. (or earlier if work finished). Other physician rounds on patients 7:00 – noon, and then ER admits from noon – 5:00 p.m.
Nocturnist: Position Details :
7 days on 7 days off - 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. shift.
Census: usually admits 3 - 6
No need for procedures unless you desire to do them
Base: $225,000 (could be higher DOE) + RVU production
