Cornell

Are you an experienced primary care physician with a warm and collaborative approach to leadership? Do you enjoy teaching, mentoring, and inspiring others toward a shared mission? Are you passionate about caring for low-income and marginalized patients? Are you an organized analytical thinker with a mind for the operational and financial aspects of medicine? Do you like refining systems of care delivery to expand access to care, optimize the health of communities, reduce unnecessary costs, improve patient experience, and enhance the work-life of clinical teams? If so, we are eager to meet you.

The Cornell Scott Hill Health Center (CSHHC) is looking for a dynamic physician leader to serve as its next Director of Adult Medicine. This person will lead the organization’s large and diverse group of adult primary care physicians and advanced practice providers who perform over 90,000 medical visits annually at 8 care sites across the Greater New Haven area. He or she will spearhead recruitment and onboarding of mission-minded primary care practitioners and provide ongoing clinical oversight for all Adult Medicine services. The Director will develop clinical workflows and care models that enhance quality and operational efficiency and will partner with departmental nursing leadership to optimize the roles of clinical support staff in care delivery. Additionally, the Director of Adult Medicine will work closely with the medical leadership of Yale’s two Internal Medicine residency programs at CSHHC’s large training site, where over 100 residents learn primary care under the direction of Yale faculty.

If you are excited to shape primary care delivery for a high-need population across Greater New Haven, if you are passionate about inspiring and leading others, if you enjoy the administrative and business aspects of medicine, and if you are eager to join an energetic and tight-knit medical leadership team, we encourage you to read the full job description and consider applying to be our next CSHHC Director of Adult Medicine.
