This large regional medical center in partnership with the local University and College of Medicine is sponsoring a new ACGME Internal Residency Program in partnership with the Regional Medical Center and the Orlando VAMC. This 3 year IM residency program is accredited for 60 residents.
The Associate Residency Program Director who joins our program leadership team will play a major role in the development of our new program by participating in the recruitment, selection, teaching, evaluation and mentorship of our residents. The APD will also assist with the didactic curriculum, residency quality improvement/patient safety projects, and participate on applicable hospital committees. The APD will have an average of 20 hours per week to accomplish these responsibilities.
The ideal candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and should have at least 2 years of experience as a faculty member. Candidates with less than 2 years faculty experience who have extensive teaching experience as either a fellow or chief resident may be considered.
