Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is looking for an Assistant Medical Director of Internal Medicine Physician to join our team. At Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, the health and well-being of our patients are important to us. That is why our team of doctors, APRNs, and Physician Assistants will work with our patients to help them obtain their health and wellness goals. There are opportunities for teaching: Yale residents and Yale medical students with corresponding clinical faculty appointments. We also offer Telehealth.

Summary
The Assistant Medical Director of Internal Medicine supports the Medical Director of Internal Medicine in improving quality and operational efficiencies for the Internal Medicine Department. This includes support in recruiting, retaining, organizing, and managing Internal Medicine practitioners. The Assistant Medical Director provides clinical oversight and guidance as necessary to ensure that consistently high-quality care is provided to all CS-HHC patients. The Assistant Medical Director must be committed to the concept of community health care. He or she must enable and encourage the interdisciplinary and integrated care team concept as an integral element of the provision of high-quality, responsive community health services. The Assistant Medical Director must be prepared to mentor providers to impart knowledge that enables efficient care delivery that is clinically competent, culturally sensitive and customer service oriented. The Assistant Medical Director will assist the Medical Director of Internal Medicine in establishing care protocols and goals that promote clinical excellence and productivity in ways that are responsive to and respectful of patient and provider needs as well as those of other staff.

The Assistant Medical Director will function as an integral member of CS-HHC’s medical leadership team and will always conduct himself/herself accordingly. Thus, he/she will demonstrate a keen understanding of the healthcare industry in general and specifically of federally qualified health center operations. The Assistant Medical Director will assist the Medical Director of Internal Medicine in the accumulation and organization of health statistics needed for internal and external reporting purposes. The Assistant Medical Director will serve as one of the health center’s clinical leaders for quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives.
