Job Description

Last Update: 7/28/20

Due to the retirement of one of our long standing members of the medical community, we are looking to hire a BC/BE Internal Medicine Physician. Our practice manages the care of a large LGBT community with exposure to HIV. Our ideal replacement physician would have an interest in infectious disease but not necessary as they would eventually assume our primary care panel of patients in Washington, D.C.

  • One would join 1 other BC Internist and 1 physician assistant in a well-established primary care practice
  • Both of our physicians have academic appointments at George Washington University Medical School and have their medical students do rotations in our clinic
  • We provide care to predominantly adult male population where the mix is 70/30 general primary care/HIV management
  • The incoming physician will assume a busy patient panel, as one of our physicians is looking to retire
  • Our practice is equipped with some of the most advanced technologies to support our clinic including an integrated EHR with telemedicine capabilities
  • Offering competitive compensation, complete benefits and option for partnership
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations

About Washington, D.C.:

  • Our practice is located in the West End/Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, D.C., in close proximity to the George Washington University campus.
  • The area is well known for hosting one of the best farmers markets in the city every Sunday of the year, and is easily accessible by D.C. metro, many bus routes, and Capital Bikeshare.
  • The Washington metropolitan area is home to three major airports, numerous government institutions, and limitless cultural attractions, including festivals, museums, theaters, year-round markets, outdoor recreation, and five professional sports teams.
  • Ranked as one of “America's Best Cities to Live” by US News
  • The region includes several highly regarded institutions such as Georgetown, George Washington, Howard, and Johns Hopkins Universities.
  • Outside the immediate metro area, residents can take advantage of hiking, camping and boating opportunities in Shenandoah National Park, Great Falls State Park and other outdoor spaces.

Our practice is a proud member of Privia Medical Group, a national physician organization with more than 2,400 providers in multiple states. Through high-performance physician groups, accountable care organizations, and population health management programs, Privia works in partnership with health plans, health systems and employers to better align reimbursements to quality and outcomes.
