The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Medicine, and Virginia Commonwealth University seeks an academic general internist to join an outstanding group of clinician educators. The Division of General Medicine provides comprehensive evidence-based care to a widely varied patient population that spans all levels of complexity. The Division also has a substantial educational footprint in both undergraduate and graduate medical education.This faculty position provides opportunities for both outpatient and inpatient clinical care, and the position also allows for significant clinical teaching of trainees. The successful candidate will have an interest in developing a career as a superb clinician educator, and the Division is well positioned to support a range of clinical and educational interests. Requirements include: BC/BE in Internal Medicine, skill in clinical care and medical education, and demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
