JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the physician is responsible for quality and completeness of assigned medical services at any of the corporation clinic sites. The Physician must be knowledgeable in systems improvement and have the ability to facilitate a culture of a “Patient Centered Medical Home.
Responsibilities
• Examines, diagnosis, prescribes and administers quality, evidence-based health care to patients
• Supervises Family Nurse Practitioner , Physician Assists in care management, clinical standards and procedures as needed including sign-off on charts, co-signatures for forms and prescriptions
• Meets Quality of Care (Quality Measures) and participates in Peer Review
• Completion|Documentation of EHR|Medical records, coding and signing of charts within the designated time set by the organization
• Participates in consumer education and in-service training for support personnel
Licensure|Duties
• License to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of California
• Board certification or Board eligibility in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
Current residents of an accredited Residency Program may apply prior to graduating from the program
• Possess current DEA registration for prescribing
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrate sensitivity to the diverse patient population and work well with patients, vendors and co-workers courteously and respectably

The Health Care team is comprised of 44 physicians, 40 midlevel professionals, nutritionists, health educators and case managers, providing multiple specialties including; Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, Nephrology, and additional services supported by our Tele-Health program, recognized #1 in California 2016.
Our primary health care system is dedicated to providing care for special populations and promoting excellence in the health and well-being of our patients.
We are an established FQHC providing health care services to the community for 40 years.
We offer our providers a great compensation and benefits package for Full-Time employees and pro-rated benefits for part-time or per-diem flex employees.
