Due to growth and expansion , Crossover Health has an opening for a Medical Director for our new Philadelphia Office. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer , Medical Director will play a critical role in Crossover Health's ongoing mission to redesign the primary care experience, lead a growing group of physician innovators, and have demonstrated ability to consistently deliver high quality, cost-effective, and best outcome care to discerning patients and clients. Medical director will plan, direct and coordinate all medical and related activities, except nursing services. Participates in establishing and implementing XO Standard of Care, and advises Chief Medical Officer on policies as they relate to medical practices. Plans for and participates in ongoing medical education and professional development. Investigates and implements new health innovations. Serves as a consultant in unusual and difficult medical cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Medical Group Leadership

Lead Recruiting, Hiring, Training, and Retention of board certified physicians

Lead the Performance, Compensation, and Career Development efforts

Conduct Meetings with CEO, CMO, site Medical Directors and Clinical Ops teams

Lead regular medical guild meetings and integrate with other guild meetings as necessary including the Practice Manager, Nursing, Physical Medicine, and others

Medical Group Management

Manage provider schedule, call, and vacation coverage

Manage Float Pool and provide float coverage as needed

Obtain license for every state XO MG practices

Manage Specialist Network development efforts

Manage Daily Huddle Program(s) Library (previous talks/Keynote database) as well as presentation calendar

Oversee AAAHO/NCOA accreditation process for the PCMH

Oversee HIPAA Compliance Officer and

Work with

Program Development

Develop Evidence Based Guidelines to support XO Standard of Care

Primary Care and Lifestyle Medicine

Physical Medicine (PT, Chiro, Aou, Massage, etc)

Ancillary Care (Optho, Dermatology, Sleep, etc)

Performance (Behavioral Health, Health Coaching, Fitness, etc)

Develop Key Performance Indicators for MG

Promote Care Enhancements such as medication management, dispensing programs, laboratory services, and the implementation of evidence based guidelines

Participates in practice audits on regular basis.

Health Innovation

Promote XO MG as the leading provider of advanced patient centered medical home

Lead new care Technology Product, and Services Research, Implementation, and Testing

Participate in development of enhancements to core EHR and PM systems

Participate in the development Healthcare Analytics / Population Health initiatives

Participate in development of new clinical services ("product development")

Participate in Business Development for XO as needed (sales, client development, fundraising, speaking, etc)

Thought leadership through attending, engaging, and promoting XO at ~ 2 targeted health conferences annually


QUALIFICATIONS

Board certified in Primary Care (Internal, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine).

Active clinical experience in Primary Care (Internal, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine).

5 years of managerial practice in a group of 15+ physicians, and other ancillary staff to 30+

Experience in recruiting, hiring, promoting and retaining, developing, managing out physicians and nurses, etc.

Practice experience in commercially insured and private pay environments

Concierge or "executive" / cash pay practice experience a plus

Aptitude and experience in customer service, Customer satisfaction, and practice innovation. Demonstrated interest in driving clinical adoption of evidence based medicine pathways,

Demonstrated affinity for digital technologies, new products, and care delivery services

Anticipate additional travel to other locations of 20%

Base, bonus, and equity commensurate with experience.

Academic appointment previously or Currently a plus.
