The Nocturnist position is accompanied with a generous compensation and benefits. Responsibilities include:

• Admitting and managing the Hospitalist Service patients and providing high quality, safe, and efficient medical care to those patients
• Providing consults as requested on non-medical services
• Providing timely sign out of all patients admitted on the shift to daytime Hospitalists, as appropriate
• Supervising codes and rapid responses during shift, as needed
• Supervising and/or performing procedures, as needed
• Working with Emergency Department Clinicians and staff to expedite transition of care and admissions
• Complying with applicable quality and safety measures, including Core Measures from Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services
• Supervising, teaching, and evaluating medical house staff and other trainees on a daily basis
• Participating in other clinical, educational, or quality improvement work as recommended by the Chief Hospitalist
