Seeking Internal Medicine Physician to join well-established Multi-Specialty Group in east Tennessee.

Founded in 1995 by a handful of local physicians, Client is a private multi-specialty group with the corporate office located in TN. As of today, Client is comprised of over 500 employees, with 84 providers, 47 physicians and 37 mid-levels, spread throughout 14 practice locations in five contiguous counties, and three urgent care clinics. Client also has a full ancillary department with state of the art technology and a CLIA and COLA certified lab, recently upgraded with all new equipment. There is also an onsite sleep center.

Client is staffed with highly trained; board certified physicians and healthcare providers that are dedicated to delivering the highest quality medical services in the community while providing the latest technological advances for medical care. Client provides an advanced level of healthcare from birth to geriatrics, whether it is a Family Medicine or Specialty Care, they have the capability and technology to care for the entire family.

There are 20 specialties represented through Client. Family Medicine, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Med-Peds, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Podiatric Surgery, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Psychology, Sleep, Otolaryngology, Nutrition, Urology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Vascular Surgery, Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment and Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Internal Medicine Job Expectations and Schedule
Each provider would be responsible for covering only one location. As one's practice continues to grow, a physician has the ability to bring on mid-level(s). At this time, the biggest need is at the main building, where they once had 6 physicians and is now are down to 3 due to relocations outside of the community.

For an incoming physician, one can expect to see patients from birth to death with 25-30 patients in the clinic per day. Patients are scheduled in advance, but one can also build up a practice quickly with walk-in appointments. Client expects incoming physician to be ramped up in 4 to 8 months. Each physician is assigned 3 to 4 exam rooms, plus adequate medical staff. Typically, providers are in the office four days per week, but one could practice 5 days a week if desired. For a provider, one can practice a full range of family medicine. Typically, office hours are Monday-Friday 8-5pm. If one desires, there can be additional shifts that coincide with the urgent care with coverage until 9pm, 9-6 Saturday, and 12-5 on Sundays.

Call responsibilities would include practice call. Responsibilities have been described as extremely light. The EMR system is athenahealth.
