Job Description & Requirements
Heart Failure Physician in Ohio
StartDate: ASAP
The University of Cincinnati Heart, Lung, and Vascular Institute and Division of Cardiovascular Disease is conducting a nationwide search for a full-time Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist for a faculty position at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We are seeking candidates who are board eligible or certified in Cardiovascular Disease as well as Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplantation. Those with additional training or experience in any cardiovascular imaging modalities will also be of interest.
The University of Cincinnati’s Advanced Heart Failure Treatment Center, one of the largest heart failure programs in the region, brings together nationally renowned heart failure specialists, interventional cardiologists, and cardiac transplant surgeons together to diagnose and treat over 3,000 heart failure patients every year. They offer a full spectrum of cardiovascular services including electrophysiology, congenital heart care, structural heart disease and are well-funded in basic, translational, and clinical research.
In addition to being the only heart transplant center in the region, U.S. News & World Report continually ranks UC Medical Center in the “High Performing” category for Heart Failure. It is anticipated that the program will continue to expand as brand new clinic facilities are slated to open in 2019 which will increase the capacity for growth. Substantial clinical and research collaborations also exist with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the third largest children’s hospital in the country.
Incoming faculty will play a crucial role in advancing the overall mission of excellence in clinical care and teaching in the Section of Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplant, and Mechanical Circulatory Support. They will enjoy a very competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package as well as support for academic endeavors and promotion.
Candidates interested in the position must submit an inquiry through Merritt Hawkins to be considered.
