Job Description
The primary focus of the Primary Care Physician is to provide quality primary care services, help grow the overall practice, and promote team functioning.
Details:
- Permanent, full-time position
- 40-hrs per week
- Rotating after-hours call schedule
- EMR: eClinical Works
- Duties include:
- Providing comprehensive care and documenting according to charting protocol
- Ensures appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care
- Provides clinical leadership to mid-level providers, support staff, nurses, medical assistants, patient care coordinators, front office staff, receptionists, and interns/students
- Maintains availability for various administrative/clinical duties
- Acting representative at professional conferences, in-service trainings, and meetings
- Perform routine ambulatory procedures: incision & drainage, basic suturing, arthrocentesis, cervical sample collection
- Perform advanced ambulatory procedures: IUD placement, long-acting subdermal contraceptive implant placement, joint steroid injection, skin punch and shave biopsies, endometrial biopsy, colposcopy

Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school
- Must be Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Possess a valid California physician license
- BCLS/CPR certification
- DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate
- Experience working in ambulatory care and/or a community health center preferred
- Experience working with populations with varying lifestyles, ages, sexual orientations, ethnic and culture backgrounds and economic status preferred
- Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
- Experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus
