Job Description

MDA is working with a hospital to help with open Hospitalist shifts.

Current shifts:
Day Admissions, 7a-7p
Day Rounds, 7a-7p – 3 shift minimum
Day MedSurge Admissions, noon to midnight

The Hospital is located near Columbia, SC and within a 2 hour drive of Charleston, SC.
Day admissions average 8-10 - admit from ED to floor and ICU and round on the patient the firs day
day admitter carries the Code Blue pager and will attend codes
No procedures required.
Telemedicine Critical Care Unit that monitors higher acuity patients 24-7.

Day rounder census: 18-22
There is a midlevel to assist with admissions and H&Ps.

EMR isMeditech PDoc order entry for its EMR and IMBills for its billing software.
Must be board certified and residency trained Internists.
Credentialing takes approximately 45-60 days.
MUST have a PPD within 90 days of start date - No exceptions.
Drug screens required on all candidates within 30 days of start date.
