First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is looking to employ an Internal Medicine physician for their growing employed physician group. This opportunity is located in Venice, Florida. Venice is just south of Sarasota, along Florida’s white-sanded Gulf Coast and offers 14 miles of beaches, fishing, boating, shelling, and fossilized shark’s teeth can be found in abundance by sifting through the sand. Golfers enjoy excellent courses in the greater Venice area. The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, nationally recognized beaches, excellent schools and a wide variety of activities for all ages.

With the opening of Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice in fall 2021, we're able to provide south Sarasota County residents convenient access to the same level of care and 5-Star physicians, staff and systems available at our SMH-Sarasota Campus. SMH-Venice features 110 private rooms, a 28-room Emergency Care Center, 8 surgical suites, 10 birthing suites and a pandemic-ready intensive care unit.

Practice Information:

• This is a replacement position for a retiring physician. Join a busy and established practice of three physicians and dedicated support staff.
• Immediate opportunity to take over an established patient panel.
• Outpatient only, the Medical Hospitalist group will cover inpatients.
• Physician will see approximately 18-20 patients per day in the office once fully ramped up.
• Practice hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
• Call of 1:6 will include nights and weekend practice coverage.
• Board Certified preferred but we will consider Board Eligible if within 3 years of completing training.
• Physicians employed by First Physicians Group have sovereign immunity.
• Licensed in the State of Florida preferred but will accept CVs from physicians interested in applying for a Florida license. We will pay for the Florida license and DEA if you apply as the result of a job acceptance with our organization.
• Experience with electronic medical records a plus. We use Intergy in the outpatient setting.
• We are a non-profit entity, so Physicians can apply for Public Service Loan Forgiveness if employed by group.

• Contract includes a 2 year guaranteed base salary plus bonus. After two years, physician can move to a pay model which guarantees a higher salary.
