Job Description

Last Update: 3/09/21

Due to growth, Reading Hospital is seeking a Geriatrician to join our geriatric medicine team as Fellowship Director and be part of the Geriatric Center at Reading Hospital.

Reading Hospital, a 600+bed acute care hospital, is an independent academic facility with teaching and clinical responsibilities. We are looking for a candidate to provide care to geriatric patients in different settings, teach residents and be part of a team that works to build and adopt models of Geriatric Care with an emphasis on quality.

The Geriatric Center is a non-primary care group who work on referrals and recommendations from the primary care office of aging and other primary care practices. They treat patients with cognitive, memory and psychiatric complications for a complete geriatric senior assessment. The treatment team consists of a Geriatrician, Geriatric Psychiatrist, Social Worker and Certified Geriatric RN. Appointments are inclusive of patient and family members for diagnosis and treatment for patient safety and well being.

The center is also within walking distance of the brand new Drexel University Medical School at Tower Health! Which is set to open in 2021 and make Drexel University the largest academic body responsible for teaching/training 300 medical students a year!
