We are recruiting a skilled Geriatrician to join the employed staff of an excellent community medical center in this picturesque coastal, world famous "Down-East" Maine community! Join a well respected hospital featuring: modern operating rooms, a successful hospitalist program, and a new emergency department. You will provide consults to inpatients and outpatients at the hospital. You will also provide direct patient care (with midlevel assistance) at local nursing homes, and assisted living centers, while providing medical oversight for the geriatric care teams. This community has an active and vibrant senior population. The recent addition of community services and housing options for seniors provides opportunities for more of them to become part of this growing community. If selected, you will be offered an exceptional compensation package including: a generous base salary, full hospital benefits, an obtainable incentive bonus plan, signing bonus, health and life insurance, assistance with student loans, if applicable, paid relocation, cme, paid time off, and much more. Physicians requiring H1b visa sponsorship are welcome here. Ellsworth is just minutes from Mt. Desert Island, Bar Harbor, and Acadia National Park home of Cadillac Mountain. MDI hosts miles of breathtaking coastline, coves and beaches to explore. Enjoy numerous local restaurants, eclectic shops, an outstanding public school system, and a wide range of safe, family-friendly neighborhoods offering both lake and ocean side properties. This area offers an array of year-round recreational opportunities including: golf, hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting, fishing, skiing, boating, bird watching to name a few. The city of Bangor is just 35 minutes away. Bangor has an international airport, restaurants, shopping malls, an orchestra, children’s museum, casino, and hosts numerous concerts and sporting events.
