Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities:

Functional Category: Primary Care Estimated Percent of time Spent – 60%
Functional Category: Administrative Estimated Percent of time Spent – 20%
Functional Category: Supervision Estimated Percent of time Spent – 20%

The Center Medical Director (CMD) Responsibilities

  • Outpatient leadership w/Strong Administrative Skills
  • Interrface with physicians and improve processes that will make the center stronger and more efficient.
  • Direct hospital inpatient care is not required but close coordination of care with hospital-based providers is essential
  • Responsible for the medical care across a variety of settings, including but not limited to the ADHC clinic, participants’ homes, the nursing home, assisted living facilities and personal care boarding homes
  • Responsible for oversight of day-to-day medical operations at the center(s) and provides supervision of Team of Physicians and Adult Nurse Practitioners.
  • Provides Mentorship and Leadership for the Team.
  • Improve processes to make Center stronger and more efficient.
  • Participates in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings
  • Assists with keeping expenses with department budget, quality initiatives, utilization and resource management and providing support to Executive staff.
  • Initiates and builds new programs
  • CMD will only fill in for physicians when needed.
  • Mon - Fri, 8a-5p (Full Time)
  • May Travel between local worksites

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree required
  • Current active Medical License for state in which practicing
  • DEA number
  • Not on the Preclusion List
  • Board certification in a primary care specialty required
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree required
  • Minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly is required
  • Strong Behavioral Health Background preferred
