We are hiring a BC/BE Infectious Disease Physician who have exceptional clinical and interpersonal skills to join us at Lehigh Valley Health Network in beautiful Allentown, PA.

Practice Overview:
LVHN offers providers the strength of a large network, an integrated medical staff and a platform to develop and grow your clinical, research, academic, and educational career.

LVHN’s Infectious Disease Program serves an eight county area in Eastern Pennsylvania with a population of over two million. The Infectious Disease team is well established and has 14 physicians and 5 physician assistants who primarily cover Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)-Cedar Crest in Allentown and LVH-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. Telemedicine consults are provided to other Lehigh Valley Hospitals in Pottsville, Hazleton and East Stroudsburg, PA. LVH-Cedar Crest is a 988-bed teaching hospital and faculty appointments are available through the University of South Florida, College of Medicine, LVHN’s academic partner.

The Infectious Disease position is an exciting opportunity to join the team as LVHN stands on the precipice of tremendous growth in transplant medicine. Lehigh Valley Health Network currently performs kidney and pancreas transplants and has agreements with the University of Pennsylvania for collaboration on Heart and Liver Transplants. The LVHN Cancer Institute is preparing to provide stem cell transplants and CAR T therapy to patients. In addition to transplant patients, the physician will see a broad mix of ID patients including post-op, burn, oncology and others. The mix of clinical responsibilities is approximately 80% inpatient consultations and 20% outpatient.

Job Qualifications:
• A network champion for Infectious Disease
• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease
• A current Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
