INFECTIOUS DISEASE/INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Since our inception in 1996, our patient population has grown from under 3,000 to more than 22,000 and our service locations grew from 1 to a total of 14, including a mobile office that serves more than 50 schools in the area.

We have been serving the community for over 20 years by providing integrated primary, behavioral health, dental, and specialty care; on-site fitness center for Center patients and employees; care coordination; and other specialty services and clinics to 22,000 patients

  • The Infectious Disease Physician will provide general Infectious Disease consultation in addition to primary care services at the site, in a co-located model with Podiatry.

Details:

  • Full scope adult infectious diseases and primary care (workload may initially be more primary care as the infectious disease practice builds)
  • Site is with 1 other full time primary care medical provider with podiatry, dental, and mental health
  • Weekday telephone call up to 5 weeknights a month for adult primary care, weekend call approximately 1 in every 6 weekends for adult primary care, and holiday call once a year
  • Serve as collaborating/supervising Physician of Physician Assistants and Advance Practice Registered Nurses
  • Opportunity for leadership and performance improvement project involvement
  • Documentation in eClinical Works electronic health record
  • Billing submission at the time of office visit is expected
  • Teaching and research opportunities through affiliated academic partners, including academic title and resources
  • Team based care of two (2) Providers, four (4) Medical Assistants, one (1) nurse, one (1) care coordinator, and one (1) behavioral health worker

Requirements:

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility (for new graduates)
  • New graduates of training programs encouraged to apply
  • Experience in HIV screening, Hepatitis C treatment is preferred
  • MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for Substance Use Disorders certified or willingness to certify as part of orientation
