Medical Doctor Associates (MDA) has a new opening for a Pediatric Hospitalist in Michigan, about an hour north of Traverse City.
Please review the details and email me for more details: Scheduled C-section. Special care nursery. Must attend all C-Sections. 39% - 600 babies per year. Special care nursery – Level 1. Transfers to Munson (in Traverse City – 1 ½ hr away. They have a NICU. Or DeVos childrens hospital in Grand Rapids, about 3 hours away – with full NICU, Peds ICU and all pediatric specialists. Maternity patient cut off is 36 weeks, they try to transfer. Go to Munson. Must round on newborns ( avg 2-3) and do circumcisions. Peds avg 4 – 5. In the past spring was closed 1 week due to no patients. 12 pediatric designated beds. Peds specialists comes from DeVos for clinics. Always support. Collaborate with other facilities even U of M.
Surgeons do appendix or trauma.Peds can be an average census of 4-5. Sometimes -0-. Unit has 12 beds. Newborn census can be 1-5.Average # of Nursery admissions per day? 1-2 Special care nursery is minimal.Average # of vaginal deliveries. Average 600/yr so 1-2 per day.Average # of C-sections per day?
REQUIRED PROCEDURES:- Inpatient PEDS without ICU coverage- Attendance at C-sections / high-risk deliveries- Nursery Level 1 - Routine newborn care- Circumcision
Requirements: BLS, PALS, MI license at time of submission, BC/BE Jan 8 - 14 Jan 19 - 22 Jan 28 - Feb 1 Feb 7 - 13 Feb 19-24.
