Lubbock, Texas, Area Hospitalist Locums

• Coverage dates: ASAP-Ongoing
  • 60-90 days for credentialing
• 7a-7p with nightly call
  • NP works at night; you'd be available for back up
• Will work with 1 FT physician and 1 FT nurse practitioner
• 3 positions available
• BC/BE in IM or FM
• Two years hospitalist experience required
• 16-18 patients per day
  • Numbers include 3-9 admits per day and 1-3 admits per night
  • You'd admit all patients, including surgery and orthopedics
• Must be able to do all procedures, including vent management
  • Facility has one surgeon and a CRNA on call
    • If they are unable to do the procedures, the hospitalist must
• ED physician will respond to codes and turn over to the hospitalist once you arrive
• Procedures Required - Vent management, central lines, intubation
• Case logs required, the site does not proctor
• Subspecialty backup includes non-interventional cardiology, general surgery, and orthopedics
• Open ICU
• Clean Background Required - No Malpractice
• Must have ACLS and BLS
• EMR: Meditech
