This south Georgia medical center is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurologist to serve as a neuro-hospitalist. Experience in Vascular Neurology to serve the hospital's stroke program is preferred. The second largest hospital in Georgia, the Medical Center of Central Georgia, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurologist to practice Hospitalist medicine. This position is being created to support a local seven physician private practice who has requested inpatient assistance from the hospital. The hospitalist will see a broad pathology of neurological patients and physician activities that includes patient care, teaching, research, and leadership related to hospital care. As expected, hospitalists manage patients throughout the continuum of hospital care, often seeing patients in the ER, admitting them to inpatient units, following them as necessary into the critical care unit, and organizing post-acute care and transfer back to their neurologist or primary care physician. The physician will provide the highest quality health care possible. Coordinate and facilitate clinical, administrative and professional activities as delegated by Medical Director and Administration; Collaborate with other physicians, staff and community agencies to provide continuity of care for patients in any designated setting. The physician ensures all services are delivered safely, confidentially and promptly. Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine Degree Experience: Two years experience preferred. Certification/License/Registration: Current license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia, Board Certified or eligible in his/her specialty.
