1. Number of beds in hospital
Siena Campus
a. Currently – 230 Beds – 26 ICU beds
b. After Tower – 360 Beds 50 – 54 ICU beds
Rose de Lima Campus 105 (119 beds total w/ 28 being rehab beds) 10 ICU beds
San Martin Campus – 147 licensed beds 24 ICU beds
1. Open or Closed ICU. Closed at all Campuses
2. Patient Census – 15-18 patient encounters per day. 12-15 patients assigned at 7am census and then 2-4 admits per day.
3. Shift Schedule – In ED a group is assigned for a 24 hour period. Not in house currently.
a. AM. 7a – 7p
b. PM. 7p – 7a
4. Call involvement? Yes All unassigned ED patients 24/7 – 365 days
a. Rotation? 24/7
5. Any Specialty Backup? Yes
a. If Yes, what type and when? There are specialty ER call coverage does not expand into inpatient arena, would have to call a consultant.
6. Procedures Required? No – Currently they are not required to perform procedures unless they request specific privilege, approved and choose to perform those privileges.
7. No running codes
8. Who Runs the Codes? Code Team? Code Team and ED Physician (if Intensivist is in hospital they respond and will release the ED physician)
9. On Rapid Response team? Yes ___ Rapid Response Team is referred to as MERT currently hospitalists are not on the team
10. EMR System? Yes- Cerner
