The Medical Center has opened a new search for a fourth employed hospitalist. The need for the additional physician is based entirely on growth. The MC offers its hospitalist program one of the most modern hospitals in the country including the most advanced diagnostic radiology equipment on the market today. Specialty backup is including, but not limited to, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, urology and ENT. The ideal candidate will have extensive inpatient experience. Call will be 1:4 and the expected patient load will be in the 8-12 range.
The selected candidate will be an employee and will have a base salary of $200,000 with excellent incentives that can easily increase the salary to the $260,000 range. Additional shift incentives are also available. There will be a $50,000 signing bonus and the selected candidate will enjoy a complete set of the hospital's benefits including retirement, health, dental, malpractice and a generous vacation/PTO policy.
Finally, we are going from three hospitalists to four. The schedule format will change. Hospital Management does not dictate the schedule of the hospitalists. We anticipate on the arrival of the fourth hospitalist there will be discussions that will ultimately evolve to most favorable schedule for the hospitalists taking into consideration the patient coverage needs.
