We are currently seeking a Hospitalist to join a rural facility in Minnesota. This is a Critical Access Hospital approximately 2 hours from Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Details:
• Must be BC/BE in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• Must have a strong interest in rural hospital-based care
• Full time position
• Patients generally seen: CHF, COPD, Cardiac, Ortho, and general surgery
• Seeing and managing inpatients and outpatients in a hospital setting
• Providing consultative support to surgical and subspecialty services
• Prescribe therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care as needed
• Establish goals and readiness for discharge
• Involved with interdisciplinary meetings
• 12 hour shifts, days and nights, weekend rotations
• Average # of Med/Surg-OB-ICU patients per day: 10
• 20+ bed Critical Access Hospital with Swing Beds
• 40+ bed skilled nursing facility
• Level 4 trauma
