Hospitalist needed in Guttenberg, IA

ASAP- Ongoing

Hospitalist candidates to cover every 4th weekend, but potentially up to every other weekend.

8:00 AM Friday to 8:00 AM Monday -- Morning rounds and then call

Inpatient -- admitting, rounding and backing up the NP / PA's in the ED

APPs provide coverage 24/7

Patient population: adult, pediatric, medicine, trauma

Solo coverage - only Hospitalist during coverage

1-2 admissions per day; 0 ICU; 5-6 inpatients

Will respond to house codes

Will cover Patient Care Unit on the 2nd floor of the hospital

Will be responsible for supervising other healthcare providers

EMR: Epic

Trauma level 4

Required procedures: Non-Invasive Vent Management (bipap/cpap), Intubation (ETT/INT), Chest Tube insertion, Central Line, PICC Line, Newborn Resuscitation, General Inpatient pediatrics, Non-displaced fractures, suturing of minor lacerations, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, EKG interpretation

BC IM/FM, IA license, ACLS, BLS, and COVID Vaccine required
