Memphis opportunity

• Join an expanding Palliative Care team with the long-term goal to become one of 9
Palliative Care Leadership Centers
• Our Palliative Care team currently consists of:
o 2 Board Certified Palliative Medicine Physicians
o 4 Certified Nurse Practitioners
o 2 Registered Nurses
o 1 Licensed Clinical Social Worker
o 1 Chaplain
• Opportunity to teach Palliative Medicine fellows Family Medicine residents and 4th year
medical students
• Participate in expanding to outpatient co-located palliative clinics
• Participate in expanding to palliative home-based setting
• Help develop Palliative Medicine Inpatient Service Policies and Protocols
• Our current hospital penetration (percent of new admits seen by the palliative service) is
nearly double the national average
• Call is currently 1:5 weeks (and could change with the addition of 2 providers)
