A newly established program that provides consultative clinical care at the hospital, emergency department, and ambulatory sites is seeking to add an inpatient Palliative Care MD to its team.


About the position:

  • Full-time, 72 hours per two-week pay period, to include both clinical and administrative/program development.
  • 100% Inpatient opportunity
  • Deliver patient care primarily through collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers
  • Assessment, evaluation, ongoing treatment
  • Clinical management of complex patient symptoms
  • Establishment of goals of care, care planning, care modification
  • Medications/therapeutic orders, risk assessment
  • Determination of readiness and planning for discharge of inpatients
  • Ensure effective patient management, communication of patient status, and development of appropriate care plans with family members and the care team
  • Encourage appropriate and ongoing communication with ambulatory primary care physicians
  • Reports directly to the Medical Director, Palliative Care, and Chief Nursing Officer
  • 330-bed nonprofit acute care hospital with a medical staff of more than 400 providers

Who we are seeking:

  • Those with Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Ability to work with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work with others
  • MD or DO, and completion of advanced graduate medical education in any of the specialty boards required as a prerequisite to attain Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Clinical experience in an inpatient healthcare environment caring for adult patients.
  • Obtain or possess an NH license
