General Hepatologist - F65980

The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology (preferred), with specific expertise in the diagnosis and
management of patients with acute and chronic liver diseases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

--Providing clinical services in the Hepatology clinics at VCUHS, to include both clinics on the MCVH campus and in hepatology outreach locations; participating in the inpatient management of patients with liver conditions, with specific expertise in the diagnosis and management of liver disorders; participating as attending physician on the Digestive Health service at VCUHS; performing diagnostic and therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures.

-- Providing teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows in the management of patients with liver conditions, with specific expertise in the diagnosis and management of chronic liver disorders; providing training in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU is required.
