We are the only federally recognized, non-profit Hemophilia Treatment Center of Excellence south of Chicago. BCDI draws patients from 15 states. Referrals come from physicians, hospitals, and self-referrals throughout the “downstate” Illinois area. At BCDI, your career and your patients will benefit from:
  • An experienced team of physicians, APNs, RNs, and MAs, social worker, physical therapist, grants manager/research coordinator, education coordinator, research assistant/data manager, and lab supervisor.
  • Our laboratory provides many, if not more, services that local hospitals and larger clinics provide (e.g., Siemens BCS XP Hemostasis Analyzer, Sysmex XS1000i, Chronolog 700, Siemens PFA 1000, COAGSENSE).
  • An in-house URAC- and ACHC-accredited pharmacy with an active Public Health Services 340B Pharmacy Program.
  • The opportunity to participate in both clinical and translational research. BCDI strongly encourages and promotes our physicians’ research efforts and offers technical support from our dedicated, in-house research team. Faculty appointment available at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
  • Outstanding compensation and benefit package.
  • BC American Board of Internal Medicine (or BC IM/Pediatrics); BE/BC Hematology
  • Candidates must be comfortable seeing both adult and pediatric patients with blood problems.
Peoria, Illinois is the second largest city in central Illinois and a major port on the Illinois River. Located two hours south of Chicago and north of St. Louis, you and your family will find much to love about this midwestern city: scenic skylines, energetic nightlife, a lively performing arts scene and miles of mountain bike trails in addition to excellent schools and institutions of higher learning, affordable living and so much more!
