Job Description

Last Update: 3/15/24

Hematology Oncology Associates (HOA) is the premier hematology/oncology practice covering both southern Oregon and northern California. Currently, 11 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers provide care with two new providers starting soon. Due to the rapid growth in our area, we are in need of more physicians and advanced practice providers. Our practice works out of three offices. Full-time providers work a four-day work week and call for physicians is approximately every 10–11 weeks. New graduates and immigration providers welcome.

We offer a competitive salary, 401K, medical, dental, optical, short-term and long-term disability insurance. Partnership track is available for physicians after the first year of employment.

Hematology Oncology Associates (HOA) has partnered with Asante to provide our patients with additional services, such as clinical trials, nurse navigators, and better access for covering care for those who are underinsured or uninsured. HOA staff become Asante employees, but HOA providers will remain independent, continue care for patients in the hematology oncology clinics inside the new Mary and Dick Heimann Cancer Center at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, and the newly expanded Helen K. Spears Cancer Center at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass. These facilities are the most advanced for cancer treatment in the region; making it the best place in Southern Oregon for cancer patients to go. You will be on the best team, offering the best treatments in this regional area in stunningly beautiful facilities.

Located on the campus of Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, the Heimann Cancer Center is a department of the hospital that offers everything from advanced imaging, labs and top-of-the-line treatment to pharmacy and expanded support services, greatly increasing the ease and access of cancer services for patients.

The lifestyle possibilities in Southern Oregon are vast and incredible. The Rogue Valley is in southern Oregon and is located between Oregon’s Willamette Valley and California’s Central Valley. Medford is the business, medical, and financial hub for the region (600,000 people) and is located on the I-5 corridor. Ashland and Jacksonville are nearby and have the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Britt Music Festival, and Southern Oregon University. Crater Lake National Park is 90 minutes to the north, the Redwood Forest and Oregon coast are a 2-hour drive to the west, and Mount Shasta and the Mount Ashland Ski Resort are 45 minutes to the south. There are six wild rivers known for fishing and whitewater rafting. Great college preparatory schools near the clinic and the Rogue Valley public school system is also great. You will align with other outdoorsy, down-to-Earth people - who truly love where they work and live.
