Seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician to join 3 others in a practice in northern New Mexico.
Full-time position
Work Day: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Every fourth week/weekend call (typically taken in a 7 day block).
Single hospital coverage: Weekends and Holidays in-hospital patient care limited to critical care consult follow-ups, emergent new consults, and patients on our service (less frequent and few on average). We do not routinely admit most of our patients. They are admitted to the hospitalist service and serve as consultants.
There is an active Research Program with two CRA’s, a pharmacy team with three pharmacy techs and one pharmacist with a dispensing pharmacy and in-house mixing cleanroom, an in-house mid-complexity CLIA certified lab and phlebotomist, and an in-house billing team with expertise in prior authorizations and patient assistance programs. A list of active/completed research studies is available upon request.
194-bed, acute care hospital with a Level III Trauma Center that serves the area of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. It is the largest metropolitan area within 180 miles and boasts abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, such as world class skiing, fly-fishing, hiking, camping, easy access to National Parks and Monuments, and many other outdoor adventures are at your doorstep. Easy access to UNESCO World Heritage sites, the world renowned Santa Fe Opera, and other arts, cultural, and historic locations.
This is a community of approximately 50,000 people with a drawing area of 250,000. Located 180 miles from Albuquerque and 1 hour from Durango, CO.
