Hematology/Oncology Opportunity - Baltimore, MD!

Join this well establishes Non for Profit Health System comprised of five Hospitals.

Group is growing and looking for another Hematologist/Oncologist to complement their team. Be affiliated with a Center of Excellent in advanced Cancer Treatment.

Work side by side with residents and medical students.

The team consists of 7 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers and is growing! We are looking for a strong leader to play an integral role in the expansion of our new center.

Requirements:

• MD or DO from an Accredited Medical School
• Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology
• Ability to Successfully obtain a Maryland medical and DEA license
• Bone marrow biopsies and aspirations will be required
• Excellent communication, organizational skills and must be team oriented

• One of the largest primary care networks in Baltimore area.
• Fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC)
• Full-time Employed position
• Dedicated and strong nursing and MA support staff
• Radiation oncology collaboration with IMRT, IGRT, 4D, SBRT, SRS and brachytherapy.
• Outpatient position with one week of inpatient call on a rotating basis
• Seeing 5-10 patients a day
• Onsite lab and radiology services
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR is a plus.

POSITION DETAILS

• Full-time Employed position
• Radiation oncology collaboration with IMRT, IGRT, 4D, SBRT, SRS and brachytherapy
• There are a few meetings at 7:15am or 7:30am. Most days the schedule is 8 – 4:30pm except call one week at a time. Call requires 7 days of coverage in the hospital. Sleep at home.
• When the department is fully staffed – take call 1 week out of 5 on average. See 5-15 patients on call on average. APPs help with inpatients during the week.
• Opportunity for several multi-d conferences, tumor boards and clinics. In the process of building more specialty clinics.
• High quality radiation oncology, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, gyn onc.
• There is onsite testing. Very few special tests are sent out.
• There are some administrative hours. ½ day per week for admin time.
• Onsite lab and radiology services
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR is a plus
  

• Base salary plus wRVU Production Range
