BC/BE Oncologist needed to work a 5 day a week schedule for 3 weeks and then have one week off. In addition you will have 30 days PTO. 100% outpatient. See 20-30 pts a day 10-12 per Oncologist). Infusion center sees 30 pts a day.
Hospital employed, hospitalist team in place that admit and manage onc patients
11 chemo infusion bays with breakfast/lunch
3 Onc clinic rooms, 1 procedure room, 12 infusion rooms. Infusion center has onsite lab and onc pharm.
9 chemo/onc RN' s, massage therapist, nutritionist
Onsite Lab, pharmacy, coumadin clinic
Rad/Onc available

Facility: -Non profit hospital - 12 bed Level IV ER - Small rural hospital - 6 ICU beds - 4 OR' s adn 1 C-section room - 2600 surgeries annually

- Patients come from all the surrounding communities - The hospital is very busy and has a good surgery volume - Hospital is only a few years old - Hospitalist for admissions 6 PM to 6 AM - Well staffed nursing personnel - EMS paramedic served - ED is Trauma Level IV - Primarily farm and agricultural trauma - Good specialty back up - CT and lab on site
Location: - Western Colorado - Elevation is 5, 000 - Very little snow - Population of 8, 000 with the surrounding area making it over 30, 000 - Summers are low 90' s with cool nights and winters are in the 30' s on average. - Small rural community - Ranked in the top 1/3 of communities for climate, housing, health care and recreation. - Year round fishing, hiking, mountain biking, four wheeling, snow skiing, etc. - Locally they have a nationally recognized golf course. - Big and small game hunting is abundant - Powder Horn is 45 minutes away, 1.5 hours away is Telluride while Aspen and Crested Butte are 2 hours away. - Less than an hour from Grand Junction, CO - Incredible scenery, sports, wildlife and nature. - Slower and quieter paced lifestyle. - Family oriented and very safe community
