The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine, established in 2015 and located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, a semi-tropical area known for rich culture, wildlife and economical living conditions is growing.
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Division of Gynecologic Oncology seeks a full time Gynecologic Oncologist to join a growing program. This is an opportunity to expand the Division, enhance the research agenda and grow the clinical practice. Our program prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, sensibility, advocacy and community service – with a mission to improve health, and life, at the individual and community levels.
The position will be based at the Doctor’s Hospital Renaissance (DHR) in Edinburg, Texas, the primary teaching site for the new UTRGV-SOM Ob/Gyn residency program.
The primary responsibilities of the service will be to provide outstanding clinical care, resident and medical student education and research. For the successful candidate there will be ample opportunity for involvement in scholarly activities.
Current Board certification by the American Board of Ob/Gyn, or be an active candidate within three years of residency, possess or be eligible for a Texas medical license, and qualified to hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Ob/Gyn UTRGV School of Medicine and appropriate hospital staff appointments. Demonstration of strong commitment to the education of residents and medical students is essential.
