Position Details Include:
- Provides genetic counseling to patients and families regarding genetic risk, diagnosis, and testing.
- Document all patient interaction, significant observations, interventions, and actions taken in the patient record.
- Serves as a clinical resource and effectively shares clinical expertise with staff, students, and community in both formal and informal teaching sessions.
- Opportunities to participate in research, publication, and developing and growing subspecialty clinics are available.
Education Requirements:
Masters degree in Genetic Counseling from an American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) accredited program required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Certification or eligibility for certification by the ABGC or the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) required. Illinois state licensure or ability to obtain Illinois state licensure required.
