CO | Gastroenterology | $666,508 Year One | Hospital-Employed | Work Hard Play Harder
PRACTICE:
• 82-bed, non-profit, tertiary care facility which is a Level III trauma center, but operates as a Level II
Service coverage area of 250,000
• Zero competition
• Built-in referrals: we are currently getting referrals from 150 to 200 physicians
• We are averaging 15 to 20 referrals a day
• We are shipping out all ERCPs and all EUS—have equipment for both
• Office: Located at the hospital
• 2 to 3 exam rooms plus 1 procedure room
•Support staff/equipment:
• Tuesday and Friday: clinic - see on average of 15 to 18 patients per day
• Wednesday and Thursday: endoscopies—1,200 to 1,500 per year
• EMR: Epic—Provation Software
• Paid Call: 1:3 or 1:4
FINANCIALS:
• Base salary: employed - $512,280
• Contract term: 2 years
• Sign-on bonus: $60,000
• 1st Day bonus: $151,228
• RVU Production
• Vacation: 6 weeks
• CME: $3,000 CME + $2,000 for licensure, dues, and subscriptions
• Relocation: up to $10,000
• Full benefits: life, health, dental, vision, and more
• Retirement: 401k with up to 6% match
• Malpractice: paid - occurrence - tail coverage
• Call paid—you are paid after 6 days a month

• 1 MA and 1 RN per provider
• Scheduler
• Option for sharing a PA once fully ramped
• Schedule: 4-day work week - 8 am to 5 pm
• Booked out 6 months for follow-ups
• Booked out 3 months for new patients
• Monday: administrative day • Tuesday and Friday: clinic - see on average of 15 to 18 patients per day
• Wednesday and Thursday: endoscopies—1,200 to 1,500 per year
• EMR: Epic—Provation Software
• Paid Call: 1:3 or 1:4
• Average 2 calls in a night - HOSP admit - come see the patient in the morning
• Average weekend call 2 to 3
• Called into the hospital 5 times a year - swallowed foreign body or food impaction
• Call paid—$21,600 annually for a 1:3 call
