Medical Doctor Associates (MDA) is a Board Certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist for our Anchorage, AK client. The coverage need is as soon as credentialed (approximately 4-6months). ACLS AND ATLS required. The reason for the coverage need is due to a physician retiring and thus the coverage needed is from February 2018 until a permanent physician is hired.

Details on the job: IP and OP Gastro & Internal med procedures: Upper GI Endo with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs laser), injection of varices, banding of varices, ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), small bowel biopsy, Lower GI Endo, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy, biopsy and excision of polyp colonoscopy.

Additional details on the job

• The facility uses Epic EMR at the hospital and Provation for Endo reporting.
• The Physician will treat approximately 7 outpatients per day to include 45% adolescent, 45% peds, and 5% newborn patients.
• Only 3 PEDS GI providers in the state, the provider to provide on call coverage for the provider he/she is working in place of.

The support staff

• The Provider, 2 RN’s. 1 MA in clinic.
• Endoscopy staff per hospital; anesthesia; but, NO adult Gastroenterologist back up assistance for Pediatric GI provider.
