The current GI sees around 2,500 cases per year, 50-60 a week. Medical Center has a new GI lab, with accommodations for two physicians. Equipment includes; EGD colonoscopy, ERCP, Capsule Endoscopy and ERBE generator for A/C with EMR charting. The average range of patients is 60% for ages and 18-65 and 39% over age 65. The physician will receive a full load of patients upon arrival at practice.
Medical Center has a medical staff of over 140, with 37 medical and surgical specialties represented. The acute care facility provides the newest technology for diagnostic, surgical, obstetrical and emergency services, while the non-acute facility offers inpatient mental health, drug and alcohol rehab, physical rehab, transitional care, newly renovated (summer 2009) outpatient surgery and a pain management center.
In the spring of 2008, Medical Center opened the Oncology Institute, a state- of- the- art comprehensive cancer care facility designed around the concept of treating the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.
Medical Center services a population of approximately 96,000 and is located in close proximity to Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Cleveland. With a rich and diverse history, the picturesque downtown district is listed on the National Register of Historic places. Noted for outdoor recreation, County boasts six lakes and several state parks and woodlands that offer year-round recreation including hunting, fishing, skiing, power and sail boating. Dozens of local golf courses in the area take advantage of the stunning hills and various landscapes. College, a private liberal arts college, is located here and adds a significant cultural and educational facet to the community. With beautiful and varied residential neighborhoods, excellent public and private school systems and churches of most denominations, city is truly a great place to live.
