  • This hospital-based Gastroenterology Department is located in Baltimore, Maryland.

  • A Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist is needed to join a busy hospital-based GI Department at a well regarded teaching hospital.
  • Their GI practice currently consists of four Gastroenterologists, three Nurse Practitioners and two Physician Assistants.

  • ERCP and EUS skills are preferred.

  • This excellent gastroenterology opportunity is due to increased volume of patients and growth of their service area.

  • Availability: If the new gastroenterologist has three to five years of work experience, that would be preferred. However, GI fellows completing their training during the summer of 2022, and gastroenterologists are already practicing are all welcome to apply and will all be seriously considered.
  • They have an excellent support staff consisting of on-site Nursing and Advanced Practice Providers (APP) support.

Their hospital-employed group provides both inpatient services at their large teaching hospital, and outpatient services for the surrounding community.

Practice at a modern office facility with on-site ancillary services and a state-of-the-art Endoscopy Center.

Inpatient transfers and outpatient referrals of more complicated GI patients from affiliated facilities are common, including requests for advanced endoscopic procedures.

Call coverage: It is rotation based and will be at only one hospital.

They also have on-site lab services available.

  • They use Cerner EMR system.

  • They are offering a competitive starting base salary, which will be commensurate with the Gastroenterologist’s experience (if applicable).
