Job Description
Full-time opportunity for a Cook in
Auburn, CA. Our facility is located on a thirty acre campus. The Cook will prepare
nutritious and appetizing meals for retired Sisters and guests according to
menu and dietary requirements. The Cook provides a clean, safe, and neat
environment for Sisters and Staff. May prepare/serve food for special events.
At all times, follows kitchen safety guidelines and sanitary regulations.
Demonstrates respectful treatment of the dignity, privacy, and individuality of
Sisters, guests, and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-year Food Service preparation and experience.
Experience:
- Related experience in full service food operations preferably in an institutional setting.
Abilities:
- Must have a good artistic ability of creating attractive food displays on special occasions.
- Possesses generalized basic knowledge of the practices, and methods used in the preparation of food and the ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- Demonstrates knowledge of food services procedures.
- Possesses the ability to operate the equipment associated with food service preparation.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures in English.
- Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant it, and to accept constructive criticism.
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with other co-workers, residents, guests and the general public.
