Swain Community Hospital, an approved NHSC site, is located in the picturesque small town of Bryson City. Located about 70 miles southwest of Asheville via a freeway, this is a paradise for outdoor and nature lovers since much of the county is part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's a whitewater rafting mecca, with the Nantahala River cascading through the Gorge and Nantahala National Forest.
Outdoor lovers will be overwhelmed with the options for hiking, waterfalls, fishing, biking and more in the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains - including Nantahala National Forest.
Swain Family Medicine is our employed family clinic located in Swain Community Hospital. This is a busy outpatient only clinic and we are hiring aa full time family medicine physician to join our established clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to join 2 full time physicians and 3 APP's. Our Clinic sees all ages and offers basic primary care services. We have an excellent team and looking to find a hardworking physician who loves the mountains and the great outdoors as much as we do.
