General Responsibilities:
The Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG), Assistant Medical Director for Family Medicine will assist the Family Medicine Vice Chair of Clinical Programs, the Vice President of LVPG Operations – Primary Care, and the Chair of Family Medicine in the development and implementation of all LVPG Family Medicine and other related primary care clinical programs. This will include partnering collaboratively with the LVPG Assistant Medical Directors in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
Specific Responsibilities & Performance Expectations:
•Provide oversight and direction for all family medicine clinical activities in LVPG
-Recruitment and Retention of Clinicians
-Clinician Performance Evaluations
-Compensation – includes FM representation to LVPG Compensation Committee
-Mentoring
-Discipline & Recommendation for Termination
-Communication
-Practice Performance (Clinical/Quality, Financial, Relationships)
-Practice Development
-Primary Care Growth
-Research & Education Support
•Provide leadership oversight and coordination, in partnership with the Vice President of LVPG Operation – Primary Care and the Assistant Medical Directors of General Internal Medicine and General Pediatrics, for all primary care clinical activities in LVPG
-Serve as Clinical Leader of LVPG Primary Care Council for initial 3 years (this leadership role will be for 3 year terms)
-Collaborate and ensure effective implementation of relevant clinical innovations
-Oversee, develop, and coordinate implementation of LVPG primary care strategy
•Reports to Family Medicine Vice Chair of Clinical Care
•Maintain confidentiality when appropriate and required, exhibit PRIDE behaviors, and model professional demeanor as a representative of the Department of Family Medicine

• 0.6 FTE for doing above
• 0.4 FTE for clinical care in LVPG-FM practice
