Community of Irrigon, Morrow County

North of Heppner, situated on the mighty Columbia River, and laying across a branch of the Lewis and Clark trail, is the small town of Irrigon. The neighborly, civic-minded, and safe community of approximately 1,910 residents, in addition to high desert climate and low cost of living, make Irrigon a great place to work and raise a family. Major downtown development has taken place recently with more underway, including, most notably, the creation of a downtown community core area. Irrigon offers great parks, river access with sailboats, speed boats, tugboats, and paddle wheelers, local shopping with additional shopping just 20 minutes away, great schools, and recreational fun.

Hermiston, with a population of 18,182, is a modern, progressive city and the largest city in Eastern Oregon. It is located in the County of Umatilla which borders Morrow County. Hermiston offers amenities including but not limited to a family aquatic center, Hat Rock State Park, movie theaters, the McNary Wildlife Habitat, Purple Ridge Lavender Farm, local boutiques, restaurants, a brewing company, and a resort casino with golf course. Hermiston is located 56 minutes from Heppner, 20 minutes from Irrigon, and 49 minutes from Ione.
