First Physicians Group is seeking to employ a BE/BC Family Medicine physician to join an established practice in North Port, Florida.

North Port is the largest city in Sarasota County. It continues to grow and prosper adding services and entertainment being driven by its ever-growing population. It’s still the most affordable city within the county offering a fantastic family-oriented community and lifestyle. Wellen Park in North Port is the home of the Atlanta Braves Spring Training Complex. This is an amazing facility, flanked by multiple minor league ball fields and home to players from all around the world who train and play all year round. During the off season the park remains open offering 360 degrees of walking, outdoor concerts and a farmer’s market.

Twenty miles north of the practice, the new Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice opened in November 2021. Within this five-story, 350,000 square foot state-of-the-art hospital, visitors will find 110 private patient suites and the full array of hospital services – from cardiology care, orthopedics and intensive care to surgical suites, rehab services and a comprehensive labor, delivery, recover and post-partum unit – all equipped with the latest in medical technology.

Practice Information:

  • Join two Family Medicine Physicians in this established and growing practice.
  • North Port is one of the fastest growing communities in Florida with tremendous growth potential for physicians practicing in this area.
  • Sarasota Memorial Hospital operates a busy 22 bed free-standing emergency room in North Port in the same building as the outpatient clinic.
  • Ideal candidate will see approximately 18 patients per day in the clinic.
  • The position is outpatient only. No OB. FPGs Hospitalist group will cover inpatient admissions at both hospitals.
  • Clinic hours are flexible but typically run from 8:00AM-5:00PM.
  • Call for the practice is from 4:30PM to 8:30AM and only requires being available by phone for a low volume of calls.
  • Practice offers a broad scope of Family Medicine; newborns through older adults.
  • The office is fully staffed with nurses, a practice manager and many other support staff to handle the day-to-day operations and is equipped with Intergy as the EHR.
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Board Eligible if within 3 years of completing training.
  • While experience is preferred, the practice is open to a 2022 resident.
  • Licensed in the State of Florida is required but we will accept CVs from physicians interested in applying for a FL license. We will pay for the FL license and DEA if you apply as the result of a job acceptance with our organization.
