The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) School of Medicine and newly established clinical entity, UTHealth Rio Grande Valley offer unique leadership opportunities under the direction of its new Dean Dr. John Krouse, MD, PHD, MBA. We are looking for candidates interested in growing a Family Medicine program and service. While experience in a residency training teaching role is preferred, individuals just finishing residency training should also apply. Faculty will be expected to devote sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill their supervisory and teaching roles and to demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents and a strong commitment to resident success and to advancing the university, college, and program missions. They must also administer and maintain an educational environment conductive to education residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.

Candidates must be an MD, DO or have an equivalent degree from an accredited institution and have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Academic rank and salary will be awarded commensurate with qualifications, experience and academic credentials. Women, veterans and minorities are encouraged to apply.
