Part Time Medical Director in Liberty, MO Market

Medix Infusion is currently seeking a Part Time Medical Director (Physician) engaged through a Collaborative Agreement, to serve our supervision and oversight needs in Missouri. The physician must live within a 75-mile radius of our Ambulatory Infusion Clinics. The Physician coming from a family practice or Internal Medicine (preferred), or otherwise NOT a Physician that might refer to Medix Infusion (no conflict).

Medix will offer $140.00 per hour for a role consisting of 15-20 hours per month in a supervisory capacity to oversee qualified Nurse Practitioners in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting for providing infusion and injection therapies. All Medix therapies require a medical prescription and do not include any oncology or other hazardous materials. Medix Infusion has a proven AIC model with an excellent track record and 5-Star reviews, operating in over a dozen sites throughout Texas. Medix is expanding rapidly and is seeking a collaboration agreement with a non-referring MD that is interested in an additional 15-20 hours in monthly income potential.

According to Missouri state law, the Medical Director will have a limit of 3 FTEs (NPs) per collaborating Physician. In addition, the NPs must spend 30 days in clinic with the Medical Director prior to the remote supervision period.

Position Requirements:

  • Physician must reside within 75-mile radius of Liberty, MO
  • Preferably the physician would be from a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or otherwise NOT a doctor that might refer to Medix Infusion (for example Cardiologists, Rheumatologists, Gastrologists, Neurologist, etc.)
  • Posses a medical license in the state of Missouri
  • Physician will serve as the supervising physician for infusion services provided in company’s infusion centers currently located or to-be located in Missouri
  • Physician will meet monthly with Nurse Practitioners in the service area, Infusion Nurse Manager, or members of Management to discuss patient services and possible improvements regarding the same
  • Physician will make himself/herself available to Company’s Nurse Practitioners in the service area for questions and guidance regarding patient therapies, including the prescription and administration of PRN medications to address adverse side effects experience during a patient’s infusion
  • Consultant will cooperate with Company in credentialing process with payers, so consultant may be utilized as supervising provider to rendering providers (Nurse Practitioners) on claims submitted to payers for infusion administration services in his/her geographic coverage area. - Consultant will provide a minimum of 10 hours of advisory services to the Company each month
