Position Overview: This locums position is for a full-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (no OB), beginning as soon as credentialed, at a federally qualified and not-for-profit Tribal health center in western Oregon (near Salem). This clinic offers outpatient medical, dental, pharmacy, X-ray, lab, and social services.

Schedule: Most providers work four 10-hour shifts, between Monday and Friday, and see about two patients per hour.

Duration: 6 months

Details: It serves the local Tribal members. There are several nearby referral hospitals.

This position is ideal for someone who appreciates living in an area with a rich history, which crosses over to the clinic’s patient population. The area also offers an abundance of outdoor recreational activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations for adults
• Participate in quality improvement/patient safety projects
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care

Candidates must be:

• Committed to rural and underserved healthcare
• Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners
• Board-certified or board-eligible
• Licensed in the state of OR, or be willing to apply for an OR license
